Four Trails Screening
Four Trails (Chinese: 香港四徑大步走) is a 2023 Hong Kong documentary directed by Robin Lee. Featuring Andre Blumberg, Stone Tsang, Salomon Wettstein, Law Kai-pong, Will Hayward, Jacky Leung, Hyun Chan Chung, Sarah Pemberton, Nikki Han, and Tom Robertshaw, the film chronicles their 2021 attempt to complete a 298-km mountain-running route within 60 hours. It also showcases the spectacular scenery of Hong Kong's countryside and promotes the territory as a destination for hiking and outdoor sports. To celebrate the runners' passion and the film's outstanding cinematography, MTPC introduced the film to the HKUST audience in Spring 2026 and invited its director, Robin Lee, to a post-screening talk, offering the audience a deeper appreciation of both the filmmaking process and the spirit of endurance the film celebrates.
HKUST Teaching & Learning Video Series – Educators
Created and produced by MTPC, this series celebrates four award-winning HKUST professors’ teaching philosophies: Prof. Frederick FONG, Prof. Kenneth LEUNG, Dr Meike SAUERWEIN, and Prof. Ben CHAN. The videos show that teaching at HKUST transcends knowledge transfer. These philosophies embrace student well-being, personal growth, and every learner’s uniqueness. Reflecting this spirit, the videos avoid traditional sit-down interviews. Instead, they adopt a fresh, engaging style inspired by social media trends like Instagram Reels and street interviews. Professors were filmed in authentic everyday contexts—walking through campus, interacting with students, or casually answering quick questions—creating spontaneity and authenticity.
